5Great ski goggleJan 13, 2011
By Vincent
I purchased the black Targa II with Persimmon Lens, and it was great on my first ski trip. The goggle does well in full light, though on a cloudy day it can get difficult to see changes in terrain near dusk. I had absolutely no fog troubles over two days, even after crashing and having some snow melt and refreeze to the goggle foam. (This stuff later melted when I went inside, and still I had no fog troubles.) These fit great in my Giro helmet, too, though the band was the least bit snug while wearing my size M helmet... I imagine if you wear a size L helmet, this might be a little tight.

4Works - good bang for the buck.Jan 18, 2011

Nice fit. Works well with my Smith Holt helmet - no top gap so no brain freeze. After a couple of days on the slopes no fog at all.

4Spy makes basic goggles that work awesomely well...Dec 28, 2010

Yes you can spend $100+ on goggles from spy and every other "cool" company on the internet, but why?

These are perfectly acceptable, perform well, and the price is great compared to the rest of their products.

The picture makes them look almost child-size, but they aren't.

They fit me well and have a double ply lens to prevent fogging.

its easy to change the size with the straps.

Maybe in a year i'll update this review after a full season of usage.

3Scratchy ScratchyJan 23, 2012

These goggles look great and are very comfortable.....for the 24 hours I owned them.

I took these out for a night session the day I received them. There is a bit of glare off lights, but the depth perception and overall clarity is great. You lack a lot of peripheral vision in these though, so be careful.

My main issue with these is that after I got blindsided by some kid on the hill, I had snow in the interior of the goggles. No big deal right? Wrong.

If you get snow inside these, do not attempt to wipe out the snow or you risk ruining the interior lense with tons of micro (and some not so micro) scratches. You'll have to head back to the lodge to let the snow melt before you can get back out there. If you get snow in between the lenses you'd better hope there's a hand dryer in the bathroom so you can dry that out too. otherwise you're left with tons of streaking in between the dual-lens.

The replacement lenses for these cost almost as much as a brand new pair of Targas.

I wish someone had let me know that prior to my purchase.

If you do get these goggles, just be sure to set them super tight in the straps. Then you can avoid the disappointment of having to shop for a new pair right away.

5wifey loves them!Feb 22, 2011

bought these for the wife for christmas... she loves them, they are comfortable, stylish, and above-all, they're pink... the optical quality of these are very good, and they don't fog up too bad, so her and i both feel as though it's a good product, and worth the money for sure...
