I had a pair of reefs similar to a marbea/smoothie mix but with all leather straps and they lasted me 9 years. I surf frequently so they were not treated nicely, and definitely not leisure shoes. Well, I wore through the leather and the rubber so they are now garden sandals. I wanted to stay with all leather straps as plastic chafes, cloth gets wet, stinks and wears too fast, so the Bonzers were it. The foot bed is nice; I like the toe gripper, however the toe strap feels a bit flimsy. The verdict is out on the thick, doubled foot strap vs. the old one layer it's comfy but I wonder how it will wear with sand and moisture? The Bonzer is comfortable and definitely a bit thicker than my old ones. For all those that have fit issues right away- leather is stiff and will loosen up after a while, I have heard of people using leather conditioner or even BB Glove wax to soften it.
Snoshield is a good wax to keep the leather waterproof and to keep the salt water from rotting it.

I love flip-flops. I try to wear them all the time, but unfortunately the Minnesota winter usually makes me switch to shoes. I have owned my previous pair of Reef flip-flops for 6 years and they have been wonderful but it was time to find something new. I also have a pair of Rainbow flip-flops that are just okay. So I decided that I should stick with Reef because they are 100% more comfortable than any other flip-flop I have worn. This flip-flop is no exception. It is possible the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my foot. It required no break-in time and was delightful from the second I slipped it on. I am tempted to buy another pair so that when these wear out in 6 years of constant wear I will have another wonderful pair waiting for me.

Reef is the only good sandal maker for men in my opinion. These are light-weight leather with nice arch support, on top of being stylish.

My shoes run between 10.5 and 11 depending on brand and style. I need a 12 in these to fit properly. If the sizing was more standard, I would rate these 4 stars due to quality. I ding 1 star due to the overall quality being high, although not high enough to warrant the high price, and another star due to the non-standard sizing.
That being said, if you purchase the correct size and are willing to pay the price, these are quite nice and well constructed.

I was forced onto the flip flop market after my favorite pair that I bought in Slovakia in 2007 finally kicked the bucket. That being said, I did a lot of searching looking for my new flops. This pair has easily trumped the quality and comfort my old pair. The leather sole is extremely soft and soothing on your feet. They also have an versatile, casual/semi-dressy look to them since they are leather. I am thinking of buying a few more pair to have on hand in case these ever wear out! Five stars!
